Start any community project
A short method: name the need, find two partners, run one public hour, then write what happened.
- Who it is for
- Anyone who wants to work before they join
- Time
- One week to plan, one public hour to start
What you need
- A one-page purpose
- Two people who will show up if you get sick
- A place and a clock time
- A way to take names without building a private list you cannot protect
Steps
- Write the need in one sentence a neighbor would say out loud.
- Do not start alone. Get two people who will share the hour.
- Run one public hour. Measure who came and what you moved.
- Write a one-page after-action: what worked, what failed, what you need.
- If you want ACP TX support, send a help request with that page.
Notes
- Civic Volunteer Corps is the path if you want to work and are not ready to join.
- Joining the party is a separate step at acp.us.
